2027 Elections: Fintiri Sets Nov 6 Deadline For APC Committees

Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, who leads the Adamawa State All Progressives Congress (APC) Campaign Council, has instructed newly inaugurated committees to turn in their operational plans by November 6, 2026, ahead of the upcoming 2027 general elections.

Fintiri issued the directive on Thursday, October 29, shortly after inaugurating the committees as the party intensifies preparations for the forthcoming elections.

The Secretary of the Campaign Council and Secretary to the State Government, Awwal Tukur, announced the directive, saying the early submission would enable the council to review, harmonise and approve the proposals for immediate implementation.

According to Tukur, Fintiri urged the committees to be proactive, strategic and result-oriented, stressing the need to commence campaign activities without delay.

He said each work plan must include clear timelines, budget estimates and implementation strategies to guide the committees’ activities.

The proposals are also expected to address key areas such as grassroots mobilisation, media engagement and stakeholder inclusion in line with the party’s campaign objectives.

Tukur urged committee chairmen and secretaries to treat the directive with utmost seriousness and submit their proposals to the Office of the Secretary to the State Government before the November 6 deadline.

He said the deadline was intended to ensure effective coordination and enable the committees to begin their assignments promptly as the APC prepares for the 2027 general elections.
