Gunmen on Thursday killed three miners in a fresh attack along the GSS Daffo Road in Bokkos Local Government Area of Plateau State.
The victims were reportedly attacked at about 7:15 p.m. while returning from a mining site at Fubok in Daffo District.
Christopher Luka, Bokkos Youth leader, confirmed the incident to Daily Trust on Friday, narrating that said gunmen opened fire on the victims.
The deceased were identified as Maren Agom, 45, a native of Tadai Village in Manguna District, who was shot in the head; Joe Buba, 38, a native of Josho Village in Daffo District, who sustained a gunshot wound to the chest; and Mr Yellow.

The bodies of the victims have been deposited at Alheri Medical Centre, Daffo in Bokkos local government area of the state.
A resident of the community, Peter Maju, said security personnel were immediately informed of the incident and had commenced efforts to track down the attackers, while security had been reinforced in the area to forestall further violence.
The latest attack adds to the growing wave of killings in Bokkos and other parts of Plateau State.
Efforts to reach the spokesman of the Plateau State Police Command, DSP Alfred Alabo, for confirmation were unsuccessful as of the time of filing this report.
