Joint security forces in Nigeria have successfully secured the release of all 20 prospective National Youth Service Corps members who were earlier kidnapped in Imo State on the 1st of October, 2026.
The victims were rescued on Wednesday, October 7, at Amakohia Ubi Village in Imo State, following sustained search-and-rescue operations by the security agencies.
The police said the rescued prospective corps members have been taken for medical assessment and necessary care.

The Force Public Relations Officer, CSP Anietie Iniedu, said the Nigeria Police Force appreciated members of the public for their cooperation and support.
