Ondo APC Unveils 228-Member Campaign Council Led by Aiyedatiwa, Tunji-Ojo, Olawande and Mimiko

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo State has established a 228-member Presidential Campaign Council tasked with driving grassroots mobilisation and rallying support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election bid, alongside other APC candidates, in the upcoming 2027 general election.

The council brings together political leaders, party stakeholders, elected representatives, women and youth leaders, support groups and grassroots mobilisers from the state’s 18 local government areas.

Among those appointed are Ondo State Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa; Deputy Governor, Olaide Adelami; Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo; Minister of Youth Development, Ayodele Olawande; former Governor Olusegun Mimiko; former Deputy Governor Agboola Ajayi; and immediate past APC Chairman in the state, Ade Adetimehin.

Others include the state APC Chairman, Babatunde Kolawole; serving senators and members of the House of Representatives from Ondo State; Chairman of the Governor’s Advisory Council, Pius Akinyelure; Isaac Kekemeke; Wale Akinterinwa; former Minister Ademola Adegoroye; former Secretary to the State Government, Oladunni Odu; and Olumuyiwa Adu.

The former Speaker of the Ondo State House of Assembly, Victor Adekanye Olabimtan, has been appointed Director-General of the campaign council.

According to a statement made available to journalists on Monday, the council will coordinate grassroots mobilisation, strengthen the party’s presence across the state and build wider support for the APC ahead of the elections.

The party said the composition of the council was designed to unite its various stakeholders and support base, including political leaders, elected representatives, women, youths and grassroots organisers.

The APC expressed confidence that the 228-member structure would provide the organisational framework needed for a coordinated campaign across the 18 local government areas and help consolidate support for President Tinubu and other party candidates in the 2027 elections.
