Military Neutralizes Explosive Devices Planted by Terrorists on Zamfara Highway

Personnel attached to Operation Fansan Yamma have successfully located and disabled two explosive devices believed to have been planted by terrorists along the Magami-Hannutara-Dansadau route situated within the Maru Local Government Area of Zamfara State.

An Explosive Ordnance Disposal team was subsequently deployed to handle the explosives.

The team destroyed one device and safely recovered and rendered the other harmless, averting a potential tragedy for road users.

The troops have since intensified patrols and surveillance in the area to protect residents and prevent further threats.
