The Kano State Police Command says it has launched an investigation into the killing of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Ward Chairman in Rantan Ward, Bebeji Local Government Area, Garba Buba, and another resident.
Gunmen suspected to be kidnappers reportedly invaded Rantan community on Sunday night and opened fire, killing Garba Buba and Sulaiman Zunduma.
The incident occurred hours after another attack in Chiromawa community of Garun Malam Local Government Area, where the Sarkin Noman Jihar Kano, Alhaji Yusuf Nadabo Chiromawa, was reportedly abducted.
Confirming the killings, the Commissioner of Police, Ibrahim Bakori, said the command has launched an investigation and is making efforts to track down and arrest those responsible.
