The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) says its Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS) is temporarily unavailable due to technical challenges linked to its hosting arrangements.

The Board disclosed this in a statement, assuring candidates, tertiary institutions and other users that efforts were underway to restore the platform.

JAMB said it had commenced “intensive engagement with the hosting organisation” to resolve the problem and return CAPS to full functionality as quickly as possible.

The disruption comes at a critical stage of the 2026 admission exercise, with candidates and institutions relying on CAPS for admission-related processes.

The Board acknowledged the importance of the platform, saying, “We recognise the importance of CAPS, particularly at this critical stage of the admission exercise, and regret the inconvenience this disruption may cause.”

JAMB urged users to remain patient while the technical issues are being addressed. It added that further updates would be provided as developments unfold.
