FAAN Cracks Down on Touting at Abuja Airport

To rid the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja of touting and illegal operations, the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has stepped up its enforcement measures through an intensive stakeholder sensitisation campaign.

The initiative, organised by FAAN’s Customer Service Department under its Operation Air Clean campaign, brought together stakeholders to address activities undermining order, safety and passenger experience within the airport premises.

The engagement focused on promoting collaboration, raising awareness and encouraging collective action to eradicate touting and other unauthorised activities at the airport.

FAAN said the initiative was part of its commitment to maintaining a clean, safe and orderly airport environment where professionalism, security and quality service delivery take priority.

The authority also stressed the importance of shared responsibility among airport stakeholders in protecting airport facilities and ensuring a more pleasant experience for passengers.

The campaign is aimed at strengthening discipline and improving the overall standard of service at Nigerian airports.
