Ochuko unveils new projects to expand Nigeria’s entertainment industry

Popular presenter, comedian, master of ceremonies and producer, Ochuko Derek Omiragwa, popularly known as Chief Ochuko, is set to launch new projects aimed at expanding Nigeria’s entertainment industry.

For the past eight years, Chief Ochuko has spearheaded Port Harcourt Entertainment Nite, a comedy and music platform dedicated to discovering and promoting emerging creative talents.

The award-winning television personality received the Garden City Advancement Award (GACA) for TV Personality of the Year in 2019 and was nominated by the Broadcasting Organisations of Nigeria (BON) in the same category in 2023.

In preparation for an international entertainment event, Chief Ochuko has recently been travelling between the United Kingdom and Nigeria to strengthen creative collaborations between both countries. Ochuko launches  ‘Gospel Music Hangout’

He is also preparing to launch a new podcast, The Hangout, which he said will introduce a fresh conversational format to Nigeria’s growing podcast industry.

Chief Ochuko said the podcast would leverage his experience in comedy, broadcasting and event production to create a platform that connects talents, audiences and opportunities within and beyond Nigeria’s entertainment ecosystem.
