The governing body of The Headies Awards has officially rescheduled the Toronto conclusion of its 18th edition to take place on April 10 and 11, 2027, following a strategic decision to broaden the festival’s footprint across both Nigeria and Canada.
The finale, initially scheduled to take place earlier, will now form part of an expanded series of activities designed to bring together music industry professionals, creatives and business stakeholders in both countries.
According to the organisers, the revised programme will feature workshops, seminars, music industry events and a business and investment summit.
They explained that some activities would still take place during the originally scheduled event period, although the main awards finale in Toronto, Canada, had been moved to April next year.
The organisers also apologised to attendees who had already made travel arrangements ahead of the initial dates, acknowledging the inconvenience caused by the postponement.
