First Lady Oluremi Tinubu has donated buses to leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Youth Wing ahead of the 2027 elections.
She presented the vehicles while receiving the leadership of the APC National Youth Wing at the State House, Abuja, on Friday.
The First Lady said young people must resist the temptation to seek quick success and instead embrace diligence and contentment as the foundation for lasting achievements.
She said patience, integrity and hard work were vital, adding that there is no food for lazy persons.

She likened the attitude young people should cultivate to that of an eagle, urging them to rise above challenges rather than be discouraged by them.
“You have to have the eagle’s mentality. When the eagle sees the storm, it laughs at it and sees how it can fly above it. That is what you should all do. You should always look for your own path and not because that person has it, I want it,” she said.
The first lady said the buses were acquired through donations by kind-hearted people supporting her and she decided to gift back to the youth.
“God always knows our needs and that is what the young people do not know. They are always in a hurry, but you are not selfish.”
“In this office, I don’t beg. God told me not to beg. It is whatever He provides that I work with and I am teaching you how to learn contentment and not be begarly.
“You have done well because you have never made such requests from my office, I am delighted because you need the buses to work.”
She also commended the youth leaders for working together in unity to strengthen the party’s political activities at the grassroots level.
She also charged the youth wing to continue promoting the achievements of President Bola Tinubu’s administration and remain steadfast in advancing the Renewed Hope Agenda.
Responding, APC National Youth Leader, Hon. Dayo Israel, expressed appreciation to the First Lady for what he described as a generous intervention that would strengthen the capacity of the youth wing.
He pledged that the APC youths would continue to promote the policies and programmes of the Tinubu administration while intensifying grassroots mobilisation ahead of the 2027 general elections.
“We are committed to the Renewed Hope Agenda. What you have done today is to enhance our capacity to reach out not just for electoral mobilisation, but to improve the lives of Nigerians.
“From this moment, we are now mummy’s men for Asiwaju, and we are going to set structures to run campaigns in the 36 states of the federation.
“You have raised boys to men. We came here, many of us without vehicles, but we are leaving with brand-new buses. We are very grateful, ma,” Israel said.
