The Zamfara State Adolescent Girls Initiative for Learning and Empowerment (AGILE) project has commenced a five-day digital skills training for 140 teachers from 70 schools across the state.
The training, which began yesterday, is aimed at strengthening teachers’ capacity to use digital technology in classroom instruction and improving learning outcomes.
Officials of the state Ministry of Education, Science and Technology and its agencies attended the flag-off ceremony.
Speaking at the event, the Project Social Norms Officer, Maimunatu Adamu Dangwangila, who represented the Project Coordinator, Sa’adatu Abdu Gusau, urged the participants to take advantage of the training.
Dangwangila said the programme was designed to equip teachers with practical digital skills that could be applied in classroom teaching and other educational activities.
She urged the participants to remain focused throughout the five-day programme, saying improved digital capacity among teachers would contribute to a better learning environment for pupils and students.
The training is part of AGILE’s efforts to strengthen education through technology and improve teaching and learning across Zamfara State.
