The National Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Senator Ajibola Basiru , has described the August 15 governorship election in Osun State as critical to the future of the state.
Basiru, in a statement on Tuesday, urged APC members to intensify efforts to secure victory for the party’s governorship candidate, Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji (AMBO).
He called on party leaders across the state to strengthen mobilisation, maintain unity and work tirelessly towards delivering victory for Oyebamiji.
The APC national secretary also urged party members and supporters to remain focused, law-abiding and committed to democratic values, while encouraging eligible voters to participate peacefully in the election. He said party leaders at a recent meeting reaffirmed their commitment to the APC and expressed confidence in the party’s growing acceptance across Osun.
According to him, the party’s leadership would deploy its experience, capacity and collective resolve to ensure a successful, issue-based and peaceful campaign.
Basiru expressed optimism that Osun State was poised for a new era of purposeful leadership, inclusive governance, sustainable development and shared prosperity under Oyebamiji.
