Joint forces comprising the 109 Special Forces Battalion and the Civilian Joint Task Force have successfully captured a high-ranking terror suspect within the Magumeri Local Government Area of Borno State.
The suspect, identified as Madumaki Modugai, was arrested at about 10:45 p.m. on October 5, 2026, in Magumeri town following an intelligence-led operation.
According to security sources, Modugai had allegedly sneaked into the town, causing panic among residents who became apprehensive over his presence.
His arrest subsequently helped to calm tensions and restore confidence among residents.
