President Bola Ahmed Tinubu recently hosted Aliko Dangote, Chairman of the Dangote Group; Abdul Samad Rabiu, Chairman of BUA Group; Senate President Godswill Akpabio; and Plateau State Governor Caleb Mutfwang during separate visits at his private residence in Ikoyi, Lagos.
According to Channels, the separate visits brought together prominent figures from Nigeria’s business community, National Assembly and state leadership during the Independence Day period.
Rabiu disclosed his visit in a post on social media, saying he met with Tinubu alongside Khalifa and used the occasion to extend his Independence Day greetings to the President.
“Honoured to once again visit His Excellency, the President (@officialABAT), with Khalifa, and to extend our warm wishes on the occasion of Nigeria’s Independence Day,” Rabiu wrote.
The BUA chairman described the meeting as an opportunity to reflect on Nigeria’s journey and the country’s prospects.
“It is always a pleasure to share such moments as we reflect on our nation’s journey and look forward with hope to the future,” he said.
Rabiu also extended Independence Day greetings to Nigerians in the country and abroad, expressing hope for continued peace and development.
“Wishing all Nigerians, at home and abroad, a very Happy Independence Day. May our beloved country continue to enjoy peace, unity, progress and prosper,” he added.
Tinubu also received Akpabio and Mutfwang during separate engagements at his Ikoyi residence, with photographs from the meetings showing the President alongside the two political leaders.
