The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has clarified that candidates who have previously uploaded their O’Level results are not required to upload them again or obtain a new verification code under the newly introduced verification system.
The clarification covers candidates who uploaded their results during the current registration exercise, after the release of WAEC results, as well as those who completed the upload in previous years under the former process.
JAMB stated that all O’Level results uploaded through the previous system remain valid and are still recognised on its platform.
Such candidates therefore do not need to take any additional steps regarding the new verification code. According to the Board, the new verification arrangement is intended to strengthen the integrity of O’Level results and prevent the use of fraudulent certificates in the admission process.
Previously uploaded results will remain available on the JAMB portal and may be subjected to verification by individual institutions where necessary.
The Board has consequently advised candidates not to panic or make unnecessary repeat uploads simply because their results were submitted before the introduction of the new verification process.
JAMB assured affected candidates that their previously uploaded results remain valid and will be considered for admission, subject to verification by the relevant institutions.
