Yahaya Bello Predicts Massive Kogi Central Win Against Akpoti-Uduaghan

Yahaya Bello, the All Progressives Congress candidate for the Kogi Central senatorial seat, has voiced strong optimism about securing a definitive win against the sitting senator, Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, in the 2027 elections.

Bello expressed this confidence while speaking on TVC News’ Politics on Sunday, where he discussed his political ambition and expressed optimism about his chances, that of his party, APC and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s in the forthcoming election.

The former governor dismissed doubts about his prospects, insisting that the outcome of the election scheduled for January 16th 2027 would demonstrate the level of support he enjoys among voters.

“16th January will come, and we’ll see. 16th of January 2027 is around the corner. The result will speak for itself,” Bello said, expressing confidence that the election would provide an opportunity for his supporters to demonstrate their commitment to his candidacy.

“Massive votes and decisive victory for Yahaya Bello, former governor of Kogi,” he added.

Bello’s comments come as political activities gradually build towards the 2027 general election, with the contest expected to attract attention in Kogi State, particularly over the battle for the Senate seat currently occupied by Akpoti-Uduaghan.

The former governor, who led Kogi State from 2016 to 2024, is a prominent figure in the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Akpoti-Uduaghan, who represents Kogi Central Senatorial District, was elected to the Senate in 2023 under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

The anticipated contest could shape the political landscape in Kogi Central as both camps seek to consolidate support ahead of the next general elections.
