Travellers arriving in Nigeria from countries with relevant Ebola transmission are still required to complete the Nigeria Health Declaration Form and undergo public health screening.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control and Prevention (NCDC) currently requires arriving travellers to provide travel, health and contact information through its online declaration system.
The form also includes a mandatory 21-day post-arrival health monitoring requirement.
The clarification covers travellers arriving from Burundi, Central African Republic, Democratic Republic of Congo and South Sudan.
The Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has communicated the updated requirements to airlines and other relevant aviation service providers.
Travellers are advised to check the latest NCDC guidance before departure, as public health requirements may change in response to developments in Ebola transmission.
Nigeria has maintained enhanced surveillance at airports and other points of entry amid the regional Ebola situation.
