Kano Police Arrest Four Suspects and Recover Stolen Vehicles

Operatives of the Kano State Police Command have taken four individuals into custody and retrieved three vehicles that were reported stolen across Kano and Yobe states.

The police recovered a Toyota Corolla in Katsina from a man who claimed to have bought it for ₦7.5 million, after its owner alleged that Sale Usman, alias Dambu, diverted it while entrusted to sell it.

Two other suspects, Abubakar Umar, 23, and Mustapha Zubairu Abdullahi, 25, were arrested over the alleged theft of a Toyota Hiace minibus from Singer Market, Kano.

The vehicle was traced to Mariri Magadawa in Kumbotso Local Government Area.

Another suspect, Abdullahi Adamu, 40, was arrested in Kano with a Mitsubishi Canter truck allegedly stolen from Potiskum, Yobe State.

Police said he confessed to the theft and was intercepted while the vehicle was being prepared for repainting.

The police spokesman, CSP Abdullahi Kiyawa, said investigations were ongoing and the suspects would be charged to court accordingly.
