The Adamawa state government has approved a supplementary budget of N169.1 billion for the 2026 fiscal year.
The State Executive Council approved the supplementary budget at its weekly meeting on Thursday.
Daily Trust reports that the state Assembly initially passed a total of N583.3 billion for the 2026 budget into law in December 2025.
The supplementary budget had raised the 2026 budget to N752.4 billion.
Addressing the media after the meeting on Friday in Yola, the Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Barrister Leader Leneke, said that the approval was given at the 16th meeting of the State Executive Council, presided over by Governor Ahmadu Fintiri.
He added that the supplementary budget had been allocated to various ministries, departments and agencies based on the needs of the state.
The council meeting also approved a number of major projects covering roads, drainage, healthcare, electricity, education and other sectors.
