Deliver Your States For Tinubu, Wike Charges APC Governors

Federal Capital Territory Minister Nyesom Wike has charged All Progressives Congress governors to put in the necessary work within their home states to secure victory for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the upcoming election.

Speaking at the inauguration of the APC Presidential Campaign Council in Abuja on Wednesday, Wike said any Governor who did not win his state for the President should not join them to say they have won, if President Tinubu is reelected in 2027.

Wike said he was committed to delivering Rivers State and the FCT to the President in 2027.

The Minister said he was happy to see his name as the coordinator in charge of Rivers and FCT, adding that he had told the FCT area council Chairmen that because of the projects in the territory, the people would vote for President Tinubu.

“If you don’t deliver your state and the president wins, don’t say we have won. It is not a question of I am chairman of this, I am secretary of this, I am a member of this.”

“Rivers and FCT, it is taken. I challenge any area council that can say they don’t see the presence of Mr President,” he stated.

He went further to say that, “If you don’t deliver your state and the President win, don’t say we have won. I told the Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila, the other day that if the President did not win in Lagos, don’t say we have won.”

Also present at the event were Governors Ademola Adeleke (Osun) who promised to hit the ground running in working for the reelection of President Tinubu.
