In alignment with the three-day national mourning period proclaimed by President Bola Tinubu, the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) has joined other federal institutions in honoring the military personnel who tragically lost their lives in the Nigerian Air Force aircraft crash in Ondo State.
The Commission said flags at its corporate headquarters, state offices and Abuja liaison office are being flown at half-mast as a mark of respect for the fallen personnel.
The NAF aircraft crashed near Igbokoda, Ondo State, on Monday, October 5, with the incident resulting in the deaths of personnel and crew members on board.
The NDDC said the gesture was in solidarity with the Nigerian Armed Forces and the families of the victims.
It expressed condolences to the bereaved families, colleagues and loved ones of the deceased, while praying for strength for those affected by the tragedy.
The Commission also prayed for the peaceful repose of the departed personnel.
The Federal Government had directed a three-day period of national mourning following the crash, with flags across the country and government institutions flown at half-mast.
