Big Brother Naija Season 11 housemate Ricky has opened up about his natural flirtatious personality while discussing his dynamic with fellow contestant Sheba during their stay in the reality television house.
Ricky made this known in an exclusive interview with TVC News Online, where he explained that his closeness with Sheba was part of his usual interactions with women in the house.
“I’m a flirt naturally. So I just felt like she was a woman, a beautiful woman in the house. So I felt like I should also, you know, talk to her the way that I talk to others,” he said.
Ricky, however, clarified that he and Sheba had agreed to remain friends, stressing that his interactions with her should not be interpreted as a romantic commitment.
“She is my friend. We decided to be friends, right? So we have a mutual understanding at this point and we have decided to just be friends,” he said.
According to him, much of what happened between the housemates was specific to their experience inside the reality show.
“I have my life outside the house, you know, most of what I did in the house was just for the house. So anything that happens in the house stays in the house,” Ricky said.
Asked about one thing he would gladly repeat from his time in the house, Ricky said spending time and interacting with the female housemates stood out for him.
“I mean, just mingling with everybody, like mostly the girls to be honest. I mean, I love talking to women,” he said.
The reality star said he also enjoyed spending time with the male housemates but singled out the parties as another highlight of his stay.
“I just like to have a good time. So talking with the women, having a good time with the boys as well. But most importantly, I love the parties, you know, pool party and night parties, the Saturday night parties,” he said.
Recall that Season 11 housemate, Sheba, had earlier clarified her relationship with fellow finalist Ricky amid questions over their closeness in the house.
The issue came up during last Friday night’s Truth or Dare game after the housemates had earlier discussed relationships, friendships and their individual experiences during the Legacy Hot Seat.
During the game, Tram asked Sheba what was happening between her and Ricky.
Sheba said there was nothing romantic between them, although she admitted that she finds Ricky intriguing.
The exchange followed an earlier discussion during the Legacy Hot Seat, where Flora named Ricky and Sheba among the housemates she believed might be hiding a crush on each other.
Sheba and Ricky had also reflected on their previous night in the house, discussing how much they had consumed before Big Brother eventually called out Sheba.
Sheba said she felt better after throwing up, while Ricky noted that there were parts of the night she could not remember.
The conversation around relationships continued during the Truth or Dare game, with Flora asking Ricky whether he was married.
Ricky initially joked that he might lie before confirming that he was not married.
