Kebbi State Government Grants Over N63 Million to 67 Law Students for Nigerian Law School Fees

Financial assistance has been extended to sixty-seven indigenous students from Kebbi State currently pursuing their legal education at the Nigerian Law School, courtesy of the Kebbi State Government, to help settle their registration fees for the 2025/2026 academic session.

The state government approved more than N63 million for the payment, with each beneficiary receiving N950,000 to ease the financial burden of their legal education and professional training.

In a statement issued to journalists in Birnin Kebbi, the state Commissioner for Justice and Attorney-General, Junaidu Bello Marshal, said the intervention was part of the government’s support for Kebbi indigenes pursuing legal education.

He said the initiative was also aimed at ensuring that financial constraints do not disrupt the students’ studies.

Marshal expressed appreciation to Governor Nasir Idris for approving the funds, saying the assistance would enable the beneficiaries to focus on their studies and professional development.

The state government also supported Kebbi indigenes at the Nigerian Law School with tuition and registration fees in 2024 and 2025, as part of its continued intervention in legal education.
