Portugal started brightly and took the lead through João Félix, who finished calmly to put the visitors ahead.
Norway responded strongly after falling behind, with Erling Haaland leading the hosts’ efforts to get back into the game. The Manchester City striker eventually found the equaliser as Norway increased the pressure on the Portuguese defence.
The goal gave the hosts renewed confidence as they searched for a second, but Portugal remained dangerous on the counter and continued to threaten the Norwegian defence.
Portugal restored their advantage when Gonçalo Ramos capitalised on an error by Norway goalkeeper Ørjan Nyland to put the visitors 2-1 ahead.
