Minister of State for Defence, Bello Mohammed Matawalle, has donated a brand-new Lexus SUV to the Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Zamfara State, Kabiru Moyi Birnin Magaji .
The vehicle was presented to the party chairman at Matawalle’s private residence in Abuja on Friday, September 25, in an event attended by APC executives, supporters and other well-wishers.
Matawalle, represented at the event by the Chief Executive Officer of the Nigeria Agricultural Insurance Corporation (NAIC), Yazid Shehu Danfulani, said the donation was intended to strengthen the chairman’s mobility and facilitate party logistics across the state.
He said the vehicle would enable the APC chairman to travel to different parts of Zamfara, particularly areas with difficult terrain, as the party prepares for the 2027 elections.
According to him, the vehicle would support efforts to mobilise votes for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Governor Dauda Lawal and other APC candidates.
Matawalle also commended the Zamfara APC leadership under Moyi for its efforts to mobilise support for the party at various levels.
He assured the party of his continued support and said the SUV was fully armoured, making it suitable for movement across major roads in the country.
Receiving the vehicle, Moyi thanked Matawalle for the gesture, promising to put it to effective use, particularly during the ongoing presidential and governorship campaigns.
He said Zamfara APC was blessed with three respected politicians who had gained recognition across political divides.
Moyi also declared that the party was fully prepared to deliver President Tinubu, Governor Lawal and other APC candidates in the 2027 elections.
He described the party as united and operating an inclusive leadership structure where members could contribute to its success.
Moyi was assisted in receiving the vehicle keys and ownership documents by the APC State Financial Secretary, Babangida Abubakar Turnuku, and the State Auditor, Yusuf Idris Gusau, among others.
