The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has commenced the collation of results from the 2026 Osun State governorship election.
The exercise is being held at the state collation centre, INEC office, Osogbo, the state capital with journalists, party agents, observers, and security in attendance.
The election was conducted by INEC across the 30 local government areas of the state, on Saturday, August 15.
The Returning Officer is the current Vice-Chancellor, Federal University Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE), Professor Joshua Olalekan Ogunwole.
Meanwhile, security has been heightened around the INEC headquarters with military personnel and police maintaining heavy presence.
The First result to start the collation was Boluwaduro Local government area of the State as announced by Chief Collation Officer, Professor Joshua Ogunwale, VC Federal University Oye Ekiti.
